For any EN'ers that didn't buy team kit shorts this year..

Hi all, thought I would share the following crude image I put together.  Didn't have any luck with the EN short ordering process, so I'll have to resort to purchasing my own.  These are the best-matching ones I could find.  These are only men's shorts, but most come in the same colorways for the womens.

Clockwise, we have:

DeSoto Forza Riviera, LG Comp, Kiwami Twinki, LG Pro (Back), LG Pro (Front), LG Elite Lazer.

  • Holy Cow! Great work Ed!

It appears that the LG Elite Lazer most closely matches the EN shorts but the DeSoto Forza Riviera would probably look pretty sharp with the top.
  • Ha, yeah...slow day at the office.  The lazer's are supposed to be really nice, but I don't like the monster GARNEAU logo.  DeSoto makes great stuff & the shorts aren't as crazy low-cut as last year.  I've heard the pad is great for long course bike, might be a bit much for short course run.  I think I might go LG Pro, they come in both 6 & 8" inseams, so they might work better than the team-issue.  In any event, trisports has 20% off for next 2 days, and they carry all but Kiwami.

  •  awesome!  Thanks.

Did you find any matching bibs?

  • I really like the DeSoto product. Very comfy!
  • Didn't even look, don't race in bibs.  DeSoto are only tri bib I know of, are you speaking of bike pad bibs?

  • Ed:  Ya, cycling bibs.  I will check it out myself.

Thanks for doing the foot work.

  • @John, the idea popped into my head when I got an email from trisports for 20% off, so I didn't even think of cycling bibs. That said, LG seems to be really into the red/white colorway, so that's a thought. Alot of euro brands are big into red stuff too, so make sure to check out castelli, capo, giordana, etc.
  • Thanks for finding these sourcing options for tri shorts! We've decided that we're not going to offer tri shorts in the future. People are very particular about fit, length, chamois, etc, so better if everyone finds their own particular solution...that solution in red would be great :-)
  • Getting the lazer.
  • Getting the lazer.
  • In case anyone is following this thread, I thought I'd provide a quick update.

I purchased all of the shorts that I mentioned above (TriSports.com had a coupon) & unfortunately, apparently red is not red.

Turns out that EN red is pretty orange compared to other reds, even from Louis Garneau.  So if you are at all matchy-matchy, the shorts I proposed probably will not work for you.  You'll want to go with EN shorts or black shorts.  I might stick with the DeSoto Forza Rivieras even though they don't match, b/c they are wicked comfortable & cool looking in black/red.
