Here are the specs....

Hi Patrick,

A final thank you for a great weekend of training and education at the Texas Tri-rally!

I attached my WKO file from Friday's (4/1) ride that I treated as a RR; here's what I was trying to hit:

FTP 241

Goal Watts as a % of FTP 69%

Gear

1st 158

2nd 166

3rd 175

4th 183

My norm power for the ride was 173 with an IF of .716, my ride felt good.

I would appreciate ANY feedback you might provide from analyzing the attached file.

Thanks!

Geoff

  • Thanks Coach P, a lot of take aways to implement come race day! Appreciate the feedback.

  • Man, that is COOL!  I want my PM YESTERDAY!

  • I also noted a possible issue with HR. Your first half averaged 141 bpm and the back end was 149bpm. Overlay the elevation on that and you'll see most of the climbing is early on so I would expect higher heart rates earlier on. Two thoughts, (1) getting tired on the back end or (2) dehydration. So if (1), are you pushing too hard and will you have issues on the run or (2) if it's hot out (it was!), are you drinking enough? On race day it will be even hotter, so pay particular attention to getting calories, fluids and especially water in your system early and often.

  • Hi Tom,

Thanks for those thoughts, lots of good advice between you and Coach P., I just need to heed it come race day. I have anoher RR coming up on the 30th so I will attempt to implement all the suggestions there as well.
