Mac and Garmin - need REAL help.....
syncing up the 310 xt with the mac is proving to be problematic. I can receive all the info in the world from the device to the computer, but it would bnot receive any courses/ workouts from the garmin ant agent.
Also, even if the workouts are downloaded back onto the computer, the ant agent will still say the last tranfer failed!!!!!!
pretty frustrating if you ask me. PLEASE HELP
running a MacBook Pro, OS10.6.7, 4Ram, tons of free space. Parallels with xp, and WKO+

darn...
There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when it actually starts transferring data and I can see why you would eventually give up and do the manual transfer. Sometimes it happens spontaneously after 5 seconds, sometimes it's 2 minutes. I always have my watch turned on before connecting the ANT stick. Make SURE your current workout is not still being timed and then plug in the ANT agent. If your current workout is still active it will not transfer data.
Also, every time I've had a "failed transfer", I open Garmin Training Center (a free download from Garmin) and the data is always there somehow. From there you can export it to whatever program you are using.
William, I've been reading a bit about the issue, and apparently, there are multiple similar reports, and Garmin has not resolved the issue. It's a known problem with the ant agent and slow leopard (since 2009!!!! - I was not even sure they had snow leopard back then). I have written to garmin support to see if there are any updates, and will get back to you in case they can get this sorted out
Thanks for the input peeps
Bam, you're done.
