Women's racing sneaks

Hi Ladies,

Time to get a new pair of kicks. Any recommendations out there? Preferably ones that match our cool uniform. I know, I'm like thatimage

  • I've been stuck on Asics 2150 (or 2160 now I think) for years. I think they had a model in red and black last year.
  • I am loving my Zoot tri racing flats - got a pair last year for my Oly and HIM races. I love the fact that there are no laces! It makes T2 easier with less fumbling around, since my brain tends to be a bit addled at that point in the race. image
I was worried about the "flat" (minimal support) aspect at first, but it has not been a problem. Plus they are made to run in without socks, which is cool. I probably won't use them for a full IM, but they are great for bricks and shorter races.
  • I've been running in Avia Avi Bolt II's for a couple of years now and I love them. I run in the red ones: http://www.shoebuy.com/avia-avi-bolt-ii/321067/686839?cm_mmc=frooglelist-_-none-_-none-_-none They are designed as a lightweight triathlon shoe (you can check out all their design features at avia.com and all their endurance athletes too). I've done a half and a full in them and never had any problems (and I actually race without the insert, just slip my half orthotics in there, and run with the naked shoe bottom and been fine).
  • Oh yeah they are also only like 8.5 oz. I've run shorter races in them with no socks and been fine too, if that's important.
