VOT calculation for 8 week beginner plan

I posted this in the microlevel discussion for this week, but to make sure it gets where it should

THe data tool still did not let me calculate the VDOT for my 5K run test

distance 5K, time 40:29, HR avg. 157, weight 143.

it continues to ask me for the VDot

please advise!

    I put your numbers in an online vdot calculator, and came up with 21.35.  I don't know if this will help you or not.

    thanks Kyle, i will put that in, but should not the data tool calculate it for you?

    It usually does it for you.  I remember having to put my data in a few times once before.  Also, there was a time when it took awhile to update my new zones.  Send an email to admin if it doesn't straighten out for you fairly quickly.

    Sometimes I have to enter the time as 00:40:29 for it to work.
