The IMSG Race Day Tracking Thread

We have 7 athletes on the IMSG course. Meet them here, track them here, discuss the race and update everyone on their splits in this thread!

I'll be out on the bike and run courses to cheer, take pictures and video, uploading them when I can to the IMSG site and to Facebook. I'll also get finishline interview videos with as many of them as I can. Finally, look for a couple race report podcasts to be published next week.

  • I'll see Robin at Regensburg. But from the looks of his swim it's going to be from behind! What was the official water temperature this morning?
  • Don't know. The swim is 20mi away and big admin headache to get out there. Just ran 7 on the bike course in town. Gonna try to get up to veyo on the dirtbike then I'll be on the run course the rest of the day. Cool and comfortable this am but will warm up.
  • In from the bike course, about to hit the run course. I see that IM Live is having technical difficulties...shocking...

Are there any other backups? Any other way to see how everyone is doing? I saw Robin Sarner on the Veyo Wall. They had a headwind on the climb and a strong headwind on the descent back down to SG. I even got blown around a bit on the motorcycle a couple times! And it's HOT in SG. It warmed up considerably as I rode down from Veyo.
  • Wow a 55 year old M just finished ~10:50 on that course. OUCH!
  • I just checked the temp at UMSG and from1:00 on is has been above 90 deg F. Yes low humidity but HOT!!!

  • Robin JUst Crossed!!!! Great job, looking strong in the EN colors!

  • On the IMUT Live blog page they reported
"Matt Lieto just reported that the water temperature this morning is down to 58 degrees, which is a drop from the last few mornings when the water temperature was 62 degrees Fahrenheit."
  • Eric Finished`12:19 , missed him come across - great JOB!..Will have to go back on the recording and check his finish out
