big day question
Looks like I have a HIM RR day this weekend. Should I arrange it to swim, change into bike wear and ride, then run...as in as back to back to back as possible, or take a short break between events for rest/refuel? Seems I read the latter somewhere...

Kurt, all back to back is preferred but you don't need to go crazy with transitions, etc. I would dry off and change into cycling kit (bibs, jersey), change into running kit, etc. No need to make a sprint out of it but don't take too much time between events either.
