Vineman 70.3 Bike Course - Road Conditions
Hi
New to EN.
Having the day off, I went up and rode the course last week. I haven't done the race in 10 yrs, but get up that way a fair amount to savor the local agricultural products.
The route was still as beautiful as I remember, but the road conditions in some of the areas was pretty beat up. Specifically: the early miles on Westside (I had a pinch flat) and much of Chalk Hill Rd all the way to Shiloh. I'm hoping they have time to do some patching, otherwise it will be teeth-chattering in places.
The river isn't dammed off yet and was really full. There is plenty of time for that to settle out and warm up.

yes and no. Parts of Westside especially the early sections up until you get to about Twomey Winery, some of them are on downhills of rollers. With the tree cover it can be tricky. Chalk Hill wasn't that pretty either especially on an early downhill section. River road, north Westside, Dry Creek and 128 were really really nice as I recall.
