Nutrition Service Partnership Potential for EN...

 Folks -

I have been talking with Jesse Kropelnicki (www.thecorediet.com) about extending some of his nutritional services to the EN community. While we don't agree on the amount of training required for Ironman, his stuff on nutrition is pretty much the best in the business.

You can read more about what they do on the site listed above, but basically we'd have the following:

  • Discounted monthly access to basic nutritional guidance and forum support, includes a Get Started Webinar, etc. (about $30-$40/month).
  • Discounts on the other deluxe services they offer (Meal planning, Race Fueling, etc). These prices are TBD.

I plan on starting with them in June, and would love to see how many others would like to get in on this service and give it a shot.

If you are interested, please reply to this thread by Friday so I can put you on the short list and we can go from there...put your questions below...thanks!

  • I'd be interested to give it a try
  • I'm interested. I have lost about 19 lbs. since Oct OS and think I need to still be lighter to be more competitive but need to do it in a more scientific way than just not eat like I have been. I suspect it has hurt me performance wise.
  • Patrick, can you explain a little more about how you're thinking this would work? It seems from their website that the forum is support after you've had a consult with them, etc. Is there a way to get some benefit from this without also having a personalized consult (ie. do they have content that a self-directed person could subscribe, read, figure some stuff out, try it, and get some value/support in the forum?)
  • Ya, sounds good. Wonder if they have experience working with athletes with sensitivities like gluten?
  • I may be interested.

  • Put me down as a maybe.
  • I am interested in exploring what this would mean.

Same.  Not sure I'd join but want to know what it entails.

    Thanks!

  • @all, thanks for your input. Know that I and a few others are definitely doing it, so the others get to play along. I think the way they work with Teams is to do a group intro/webcast to get everyone up to the same speed re their approach and the basic rules. You'll get some guidance and forum support for your monthly fee...this eliminates the need to pay $240 at start up for each individual.

If you want to do more like a 1:1 session or get meals, etc., then you'd have to pay for that (at a discount). We are hammering out the details and I'll get it to you shortly!
  • Count me in, I'm always in for more nutritional value!
  • I'm interested in seeing what this is all about.
  • Okay, still waiting on a proposal from Jesse...stay tuned, and thanks!
  • No love for Dr. Penny?
