Gearing
I'm trying to decide if I should run 11/23 rear wheel gearing or 12/27 for my Eagleman HIM in less than two weeks. I have 650c wheels and used 12/27 for IM Wisconsin in 2009 because I wasn't able to train on hilss where I live and it seemed like the right thing to do after I saw the course. I've raced Eagelman before and know it's flat but I read the gearing thread and it seems like I could go either way. Looking for advice from other in EN. Thanks. -John

From what I understand, Eagleman is dead flat. I'd pick up a cheap 21-11. With 650c wheels that's like a 23-12.
