Was sick for a week - need advice

I've been sick since last Thursday with some sort of crazy stomach virus / flu / bug/ parasite/ ebola thing.  I didn't eat for 3 days basically and yesterday and today were my first "decent" days of nutrition since then.  I've got an olympic planned for this weekend and Kansas for next.  Is there anything I can to sort of salvage this olympic?  I haven't worked out in a week, and I feel like I should try and get something in today and tomorrow, but not sure what.  Thoughts?

    I bet if you tried to do that Oly you would end up really sore because your body would be eating itself for energy with any kind of good glycogen stores built up. As such, my thought would be get out and do some variation of a weekend workout without kiling yourself, and start getting dialed in for Kansas...I am assuming THAT is your A race of the two.

  • Thanks Steve. I'm going to try and do an easy 3-4 mile run after work tonight, with a good swim and light bike tomorrow. If I feel pretty decent then I'll do the Oly. Otherwise, I'll just hang back til Kansas.
  • I would forget the Oly and focus on getting well for Kansas.

  • I decided against racing. Pocketed the 92.00 entry fee and took my wife to the Alluvian hotel and spa for a night. Definitely more than the entry fee, but well worth it. :-)
  • Way to stand down and earn some SAUs! It is a tough thing to allow yourself to do sometimes!
