I stayed at the Country Inn & Suites in Tempe last year. That's also where Al Truscott usually stays. It's very close to everything. 3 minute drive to transition. Comfortable rooms, reasonable price, breakfast in AM, goody bags for athletes. Best thing was how close a shower was after the race. I lived in Phoenix 5 years so I know the area. I tried to find a condo so I could have a kitchen, but there wasn't anything I could find that was as close with decent accomodations. Only one place I found that was nice but owner/renter never returned my emails.

I am staying at the Buttes Marriot. Stayed there for Rock N Roll Arizona a couple years ago and loved it. Close to the race venue as well.
