Pace on Swim Intervals?
A lot of the swim workouts have interval sets without a prescribed pace. For instance, today my plan calls for "6x300 (20) Negative Split". I understand that negative split means the second half of each 300 faster than the first half. But what pace should I be swimming the first half? T-Pace? Easier than that? Or should every set be flat out?

The first half should be swum at a pace that allows you to go faster (negative split) the second half.
Pay attention to your times on these interval sets and you'll very quickly learn what you can and can't do, how to pace yourself properly, etc. Sorry, no real hard math or pacing guidance here. Just swim, swim faster, pay attention to the clock and you'll figure it out.
Thanks Rich. That is actually a great answer and the one I was hoping for. I prefer to develop these paces rather than have them prescribed. Thanks for the quick feedback
