WTC Legal Swim Skins - Do they work? Are they worth the $?

Does anyone have any experience with the new WTC approved swimskins like the Tyr Torque Pro/Elite or similar from other vendors?  I can't find any reviews or detailed online discussions on whether these products actually work or are mere marketing hype.  I would appreciate inputs especially from those of you who bit the bullet and bought one.

    I had experience in the Maui Xterra and Kona in the pre- neoprene suit era, using a speedo skin suit not unlike the ones currently on offer. Comparing my 1500 times in the ocean with and without the suit, it helped me a bit (about 1 minute). I suspect the faster you are, the more they help, as the whole deal is to reduce drag, not provide buoyancy.
