IM Mont Tremblant Roll Call
Okay, who's in? I am on the fence for 2012 and want to know who else I will be suffering alongside of save for Jeff Braaten!

I am in!!
Mt Tremblant is a spectacular place, and I have a good feel about this race venue. The fence-sitters should hop over to the race side. I think the course will be spectator friendly, as it is mostly out-and-back, rather than loops. Tons of "cottage" stuff to do for anyone that might accompany the racer.
I'm definitely on the fence. I was planning on doing IMLP and will be there volunteering. I am very tempted...
Wife and I are signed up.
bike and run course look interesting. short but steep hills.
Oh - but another year of watching Coach P zoom by me at an Ironman....oh well..
Can someone help me interpret the elevation charts for the bike and the run? Looks like IM St. George North? But I just can't tell.
OK, just went to Map My Bike and Map My Run and did some comparisons"
IM MTT Bike Ascent for 112 = ~3,300
IM MTT Run Ascent for 26.2 = ??? (Can't find anything)
By Comparison:
IMSG Bike Ascent for 112 = ~4,800 feet
IMSG Run Ascent for 26.2 = ~1,300
IM CdA Bike Ascent for 112 = ~ 2,900
IM CdA Run Ascent for 26.2 = ~600
IMLP Bike Ascent for 112 = 4,400
IMLP Run Ascent for 26.2 = ~ 675
These probably aren't 100% accurate, but paints the picture for me. My weakness is hills and I bailed on IMSG last year because of them (I signed up before they even posted the elevation charts - DOH!). Though I want to do this, I may stick to flatter courses which are my strength.
But does sound like a great/beautiful event for you li'l peeps.

i am doing AZ with you and feel your pain on MT. you have been writing lots on your FB account about your continued work on Mt Diablo. park your car at the bottom and start doing some hill repeats in the OS, man up and do this!!! it will be epic!
@Scott - Ain't gonna happen. Just like the new IM New York in August = hot, sticky, humid sufferfest. I prefer to do events where I will suffer, but on my own terms. :-)
Have fun, brotha!
Holy shit...
That would be one expensive race for you, unless you decide to race on the road bike (FYI, Dan sold all of his tri stuff a couple years ago )
nah. I've got access to TT bikes and wheels and i'd rent a wetsuit for the race. Pony up for that hummer of an entry fee and I'm good.
Cool. Sorta been thinking about taking up long mtn biking. Like, whatever the stuff is where endurance counts more than skillz, which is not to say I don't have/don't want to work on skills, rather I don't want to crash
Yes Please, No Crashing!!!
report on it's own post later.
