Sore left heel

Hi all,

Had a sore left heel after my bike ride yesterday.  I have a feeling my calf is tight on that side too.  Can the two be related?  Should I focus on stretching out the calf?  Or should I go get the foot seen?  I have had problems before with thinning heel fat, and I have shoe inserts in my runners with a gel heel.  But this pain seems to be behind the area where my heel hurt before.

Any insights are appreciated!

    make sure your seat height didn't change or cleat position didn't change.  also, perhaps your runners or gel pad need changing.

    the most logical explanation is that you are putting more stretch on that region.  the next question would be what is the source of the added stretch?  it could be extrinsic an extrinsic source, like those above or can be intrinsic source, like some muscle group got tight.
