Riding the course?

Thought I'd post here, for anyone who wants to/can, ride the course prior to the race, about training opportunities on the course.  Bob Baney, who moderates iamTri via Ironman website, lives in Lexington, KY and holds a series of training opportunities in Louisville, on the actual course.  He has had a couple of training weekends already, and there are dates coming up.  July 10th he has a training day, to ride the course.  July 23/24th, you can swim in the Ohio River, then bike either 80 miles or 112 miles on the course, with a long run to follow on Sunday, if you wish.  Bob runs these for FREE, except that he requests a $10.00 donation, that covers the food and Gatorade he provides for his SAG!  yes, he SAGS all of us!!  If you can go to Lousiville, it is worth it to preview the course, with SAG help and others who are riding the course as well.  Bob also has a training weekend I believe, the weekend of August 6/7.  Go to Ironman.com and click in top right corner, on iamtri.  Join the IMLOU 2011 group!  Even if you can't make the training, there are lots of good comments/advice on there, from people who near the course and have raced it.  HIGHLY RECOMMEND this!  Bob is one awesome guy!!
