Mont-Tremblant Lodging

IMMT folks,

Since this race is wicked new and quite far away as to not have it's own forum, I thought I'd piggyback this thread in here for now. The subject just about sums it up, I only have pretty limited experience with IM lodging based off of my experiences at IMWI last year, and in that case if you didn't have your hotel the day of the sign up you pretty much weren't staying within walking distance of the race.

So, does anyone have their lodging for the race yet? People thinking about staying in the village or outside? One of the resorts, or going for something more like a cabin/chalet/house rental?

I've got a few links so far, such as the resorts map here:

http://ww1.tremblant.ca/resort_map/resort_map.html

and another list of places here:

Anyone got the inside scoop on the best way to go for this race? I'm all ears, and while I know we still have a ton of time I'm somewhat nervous that I need to get something together soon after my experiences at IMWI.

Thanks

  •  Tremblant has an awesome village right at the bottom of the ski area.  Anywhere right there would be awesome.  It is a really cool place.  Feels like Europe but as it was manufacturered [kinda like Disney] it has all the conveniences you could imagine.  I hope to be there to drink beer and cheer you on.  Place is fantastic.

  • We are hoping to rent a large condo or home. Hoping to stay in the village area. We have a group of 6 racers plus familes going from my team in California. Hope to rent 2-3 condo's in same area.

  • Hi to all!

Tremblant is in my backyard so, if anyone has questions about the venue, area, accomodations, etc, please don't hesitate to ask.

  • @lynne, got any advice for me? I need to hook this up for my family....thanks!
  • @Alessandro Mind giving me a little local advice? We're doing the first few nights in the Village but want to go out of the Village for a few days after the race. We're looking to rent a house or a condo where 4 kids can have fun (and 4 adults)? Thanks!
  • x2 what Matt said...any advice?
  • Lodging - Le Plateau - Tremblant Sunstar (CONDO)

We got three rooms for family.

I think fairly close to the action.
