I absolutely can not imagine being in the dating scene while also being and Ironman athlete. It's probably been 15yrs since I purposely stayed up later than 11p. Stay "out" until later? No friggin' way. A Saturday morning without a 2-3+hr ride? Hasn't happened, at least while I've been home in my house, in over a decade. Sunday is similar.
Last summer I strong advised a training partner/friend to not move in with his GF until after IMAZ, so he could ride/train and SLEEP on weekend afternoons guilt-free. He didn't listen...
if my girlfriend left me now, i would be dead in the water in terms of dating.
-a party animal to me, is anyone who trains after 7pm.
-90% of my wardrobe is the free t-shirts from races and a no logo vest. the vest is used to cover the logos on the shirt, so that the shirt looks like a normal shirt from the outside. my shoes are my older running shoes that i no longer use for running. my pants (no more than 2 jeans owned at one time) are jeans from Ross Dress for Less (i.e. i haven't yet reached the BIG TIME like Rich, who can get his clothes from 'membership' stores like Costco);
i can go on and on...but i have to go read about training, since i am post IMCdA and can't train.
