Team: send good thoughts to our 30 IMCDA athletes racing today! Track them here: http://tinyurl.com/5s2edle I'll be tweeting as @TeamEN on the course all day so follow us on Twitter or fan us on Facebook http://tinyurl.com/3kt3q79. Going out to the big hill on the run course soon to plant the flag and run up and down the hill, and then gather up the families on the run course. A perfect day out here with high in the high 60's, low 70's and very little wind.
what is with the swim times? They look pathetic even by EN standards. Can't Al swim way faster than that? Windy, rough? Also the T1 times are forever, wonder if people are taking the time to warm up a bit.
IM live says 58 degrees for the water which is really not very cold.
Just talked to Peter. He missed the cut-of but just a couple of minutes. And it was only his 3rd open water swim, ever. He is in good spirits and says it was a great learning experience.
Now he knows what to focus for next year at IM Mt. Tremblant.

@ Chris, I agree the swim times looked off this year. There must be a story behind the times, will be good to hear it inthe podcasts. Yes AL is a solid swimmer, last year he swam a 1:10 here.
Team: grabbing Thai and a beer before going out in the run course. I spent 3hrs at English Point, first hill off the course. All EN folks looking VERY composed and doing much less work than those around them, as they should. Very dramatic difference, actually. Dave Tallo looking very smooth, as always. Al says wrapping head around new goals: finish post serious injury vs AG win. Perfect temps, maybe some wind riding back to town but should bs fast run. Can't wait to see the squad crush it!
Thinking about it more, Peter did mention a "current." Not sure what he meant by that but maybe the water movement was more prevelant than in the past because of all the water coming into the lake still from the mountains? Just taking a stab at a possible reason here.
just hope Dave recovers from the swim. Roland is a monster on the bike. I am hoping he saved his legs some for the run. He is still getting used to the racing with power concept.
Carry - I was worried also!!! - I see he has made it through the first leg of the run. No updates for the last leg of the bike??? must be a timing chip issue. Good to see he is still going strong!

Peter Giesin's wife is taking a HUGE number of pics at the even this year. Thought I would share a couple here.
Greg V had a 1:17 swim!? AWESOME! In 2009 he was absolutely scared of the swim start. Now he owns it! WOOHOO!
Stephen Anderson is wearing a GPS: http://apache.myathletedata.com/races/31/html/ - I didn't see any other familiar names.
Any word on Peter Giesin?

When I talked to Peter about his swim he said the water was fine. As in no waves, etc.

Am I the only one having issue with eth video feed? Was fine and then stopped.
Never mind. It is back
John - Had the same issue with the Video - It was not just U.

Well Video stream died again., I think DT should be crossing the finish line in maybe the next 1o - 20 min.
David Tallo Rocked the course with a 10:15 and ran his last 6.7 miles with his fastest pace of 7:26. Way to race!
