Houston's first indoor marathon & half-marathon

There is NO WAY I'd ever do this, but thought some of you might or would at least share in the laughing. It will be ~ 18 loops.

 

Houston's first indoor marathon and half-marathon (the largest in the country) will be held inside Reliant Stadium, November 19-20, 2011. Saturday - Sunday event. Challenging course that takes runners up and down a spiral loop INSIDE the stadium. 1.2 miles for each loop - crossing the playing field each lap. Spectators welcome (6 free passes per runner). Limit of 1500 runners per race. Get registered before we reach our cap.

    That sounds awful. I thought that the two passes inside U of W's stadium during IMWI was bad, but this sounds even more boring...

    Interesting,  not sure I'd sign up for that as a destination race. 

    @Jennifer ;This could be an interesting alternative for those that still do the LSD stuff.  Imagine being on a treadmill for 2-3 hours this might actually be a more sane choice.
