OK Joule question I swear I saw asked and answered before, but ...

OK I seem to be having a hard time trying to delete all activities from my Joule 2.0. Hvae been using it since January and it has quite a bit on it. I also thought I had figured out how to change the FTP numbers on it and when I upload to WKO the TSS, IF, etc. is different than what was showing on the Joule.

I know I also saw something about updating FTP in device agent or WKO and then updating your joule.

I believe I had seen questions and responses about this in strings in the forums on this topic before, but for the life of me can't find it.

I also just finished re-reading the Joule manual and going through the training peaks device agent and WKO FAQ's and can't find anything there either.

Any WSMs know right where the info is?

thanks

  • I'm using WKO v3.0 with Device Agent, so I can only offer advice with these apps - and it might not even be the best way.

I open Device Agent and open the Joule to download the current workout files. Then Save the particular file(s) I want. Then I go into Device Agent again, when I'm given the Windows dialog window, I just select the files available and hit the delete button, then "yes" to confirm. Joule comes up as empty after that.

    Make sense?
  • not a WSM but just open it as a drive and delete the .bin files.
  • Those questions are answered in the Joule Users Thread under" Power and Pace". I know because I am the one who asked them.

  • If you download it to the powerfile for the joule it will then ask you if you want to clear the joule, select yes and they are deleted from the joule. Note they are still on your computer as BIN files just no longer on the joule.
  • thanks all, got it all working properly.

I had been using power agent and WKO+ to manage my power files and never did load power agent. So while I was changing the settings on the Joule it was still using the default 250 for FTP instead of my actual 284.

deleting files was easy once I treated the Joule as a drive and just went in and deleted them

    thanks
