I went into "My Profile" and there was an option somewhere in there to edit my Signature. I just added the words in the box there and it worked. I'm not sure what R&P want us to do- although FTP,Vdot, and your city/state would be really helpful imho.

There are also a bunch of settings in there that will change how forum posts appear to you: The most helpful - "show newest first" and "jump to first unread."
And HTML works in the signature box! Let's decorate this haus!

How can you add hyperlinks, like the old 3.0 links to facebook and twitter that I had in my old signature?

I started a tutorial in this google doc. I've given everyone editing rights, so please feel free to add addition tags, edit, etc. Remember, all the sig file HTML can be used in the body of the forum, too.

I've tried multiple times to load a picture as my avatar in the "my settings" area, the same place where I edit my signature. Why doesn't it seem to work?

The avatar for your profile pic goes under the "edit profile" section in the profile pic area. If you put a link to a picture in the signature box under the "my settings" | "forum preferences" section I think the picture needs to be on a website like flikr so it's accessible at all times. Hope it helps but i've been wrong before!
You'll want to go to Forum / My Profile / Edit My Profile and scroll down to "About Me", there's an actual upload box you can post in....
