New Device Agent build out for WKO 3.0
There is a new build out for Device Agent which is supposed to fix the issue where intervals on the LYC were not showing up in WKO 3.0. I haven't been able to validate that it works yet, but I can verify it fixes another issue that I had found while using WKO 3.0 with the Garmin 310XT.
Here's what was happening: You use a Garmin 310XT with "autolap" set to 1 mile. You then import the files into WKO 3.0 using Device Agent. For some reason the final 2 intervals are "short" distance in WKO but the time duration matches what the Garmin 310XT shows. For example, data from one of my recent runs looked as follows:
Reviewing the Garmin History shows the following intervals:
Lap 1: 1 Mile, 9:34
Lap 2: 1 Mile, 9:33
Lap 3: 1 Mile, 9:12
Lap 4: 1 Mile, 9:13
Lap 5: 1 Mile, 9:15
Lap 6: 0.13Mile, 1:10
WKO 3.0 shows the following intervals:
Lap 1: 1 Mile, 9:34
Lap 2: 1 Mile, 9:33
Lap 3: 1 Mile, 9:12
Lap 4: 1 Mile, 9:13
Lap 5: 0.832 Mile, 9:15
Lap 6: 0 ft, 1:10
After downloading the new Device Agent, I deleted the above run from WKO and then re-imported it with the updated DA. Laps 4 and 5 now appear correct. You can get the new build here:home.trainingpeaks.com/downloads/Se...nt3b13.exe

A new problem for me is that the Garmin 310 appears to be assigning random dates to my runs. These are runs done inside with the footpod so it doesn't sync up with the satellites. Today it assigned a date of March 2007 to my run. Took forever to find the file and then fix the date and upload it properly. The new device agent also seemed very buggy in how it uploaded the file.
Let me guess - March 31st?
If so, that's actually a hardware problem with your Garmin - see this thread:

The fix is either make sure you get sat lock before you workout inside, or get Garmin to replace your unit...
It's also worth mentioning that in addition to the Device Agent, there's an updated build (43) of WKO itself.
Spectacular! This is the new Garmin 310XT that was sent to replace the one which terminally locked up and died after 1-month. Have had this one now for about 3-months, but just started using it indoors without the satellite lock recently.
Methinks the Garmin folks really need some quality control or a huge redesign on this.
According to this post on the Garmin forums yesterday, it's a software issue that the engineers are working on. So I imagine a firmware update will be realized Real Soon®
And, per this post, it's back to being something you have to send back to them to have replaced. LOL.
