the eyes have it
Can't help but post this in the 50+ forum. I'm having a tough time keeping focused on the Joule that I got when I thought my Garmin 310 was fading. Now both work, and I find I can set the Garmin to give a much clearer number for my watts. I struggle to see the Joule. I fear that in the 5th or 6th hour of the bike I'm not going to be able to read it! Do they make bifocal Oakley's?
Interested in anyone's opinion on the Garmin vs Joule thing from a clarity point of view. And will the 310 last 11 hours?

sorry missed the last post I'll try that
If you need prescription sport sunglasses try http://www.sportrx.com/.
I got a pair of prescription bi-focals that I use just for riding and racing. Lots of frames and price ranges to choose from. Customer service was excellent. You just need to give them a valid presecription.
Yes a Garmin 310 is supposed to last up to 20 hours. I know mind has lasted at least 15 when it was fully charged. I've never run the battery all the way to "0" so not sure how long it actually does last.
My preferred solution: I wear contacts. During races, I use a "near" lens in the left eye and a "far" in the right. I have no trouble seeing any of the data fields on my watches or Joule, I can even see them using a "far-far" set up.
Can't wait until a sports glasses manufacturer will make trifocals!
@Al:
I do the same but opposite eyes. Then 2 years ago in a HIM lost the distance contact on the swim and had a heck of a time seeing anything on the bike with the "near" eye. I probably made some other riders nervous .
