Protocol for recovery after a Big Tri Week
I have the scheduling flexibility this coming week to do a Big Tri Week 6 weeks out from IMC. The following week is a travel week as we head out to BC, so I will have two days (Wednesday/Thursday) of little training (if any). I am thinking of keeping the Big Week to just 5 days -- maybe 6. What kind of recovery do I need to schedule in after that? For how long? How easy?
Thanks all, for you insight on this!

There will be no standard protocol, as all these "weeks" will be different in so many terms - how long is it, how hard you work, where it comes in the training cycles.
I went back into my training log to look at what I did in 2008 leading into IM CDA, when I did my best time on that course. I did a ten day big tri week ending about 4 weeks before the race. In the two days after that, I lifted weights and stretched once for 50 minutes. Then, on the third day, i was back in the pool and on the bike trainer for standard workouts, with a long (13 mile/105 min) run the day after that at a pace faster than usual. That;s pretty typical for what I do following a big week in the 6 weeks before a race - it takes me 48-72 hours, which usually includes a day of travel as a "rest" day, and then I'm back at it.
