Just back from camping. Lotsa chatter directly from LP on GroupMe. If someone want to be added to get some updates, post your mobile # and I will get you in. Several spectators (family/EN folks) on the course not racing. Then you can post them here.
So how many slots for the little bitty race on the Big Island for the men's 35-39 AG?(IMLP website doesn't say, just 65 total.) Really hoping at least 5 'cuz he totally deserves it after the last year and a half.

Apparently it is complicated. It depends on how many didn't wear wetsuits and in what age group. No way of knowing until tomorrow.
Congrats Coach P and the rest of Team EN!! Way to go.
Coach P and the EN team rocked it today!Ok, who can name another IM coaching service were the coaches actually practice what they preach and RACE an IM. Oh yea and then they have huge results in the race. This is one of many elements that makes EN so special in my eyes.
Tracking usually sucks for IM. Today may have been made worse by the optional wetsuit. Those going for age group place and kona spot had different start/timing mat activation then those who wore wetsuit. Probably threw the whole thing off.
Not sure what the final high temp of the day was, but the sun was VERY strong & warm when standing in it. I think it zapped people, especially on bike. Some areas, not a lot of shade. Deceiving. once sun went down, very cool.
Heading back out now with warmer clothes for final finishers
GroupMe Post from Stev West: "Not only did i hit all 3 of my goals - i finished with a rock star time of 12:40 and i couldnt be happier on my first IM!"
I was the 12:28 person...~30 minute PR. Quick summary: fast swim (gotta love the whirpool effect and the wire), slow bike (got behind on nutrition and it was really hot), solid run (stuck to heat adjusted pacing for first half and then just held on). It was great having such a big group racing...saw lots of folks throughout the day. Special shout out to Maura McCrann and Tracy Wood for helping my 11-year-old have a great day spectating. Thanks for all the positive mojo!
What an amazing day spectating at IMLP. Uniforms were super easy to spot. I took a ton of pics as did Kate and I am sure others. Have a great vid of Lieberman crossing the finish line and prerace vids of about 10 who were racing. Having a hard time uploading them. If you know of a way to make it easy, just let me know at sross8546@rogers.com

news on others? Tracker still shows 20 people or so not yet fininshed
Congrats to all. I know coach P felt a lot of pressure, and I'm glad he finished safely.
John- thanks for the Groupme passalong updates. Glad to hear Pete is OK. Please let us know if you see anything fly by about Tina.
