I signed up in person this morning. Looking forward to my 8th tour in Placid. I had 7 straight finishes from 2003-2009, before taking a break to let the body heal a bit. Ready to do it again in 2012.
Amazing. But it took about 6 hours to sell out general entry. When was the last time that happened for IMLP registration? It was available for anyone who wanted it and didn't sit on their thumbs.
Since I had the sophmore slump this year at IMLP, I have to come back and redeem myself against that 'scenic/@#*!' bike course! Count me in for my third consecutive year at LP.
Dudes I am IN LIKE FLYNN! Was worth waiting on line for 2 hours in the chilly rain. So pumped already. So much learned...so much to learn...so much work to be done because workWORKS!
@ JLiebs--don't worry, it will get posted once the race gets closer. we still have an entire year, not to mention that bitch of an OS to get through first. If you start focusing on it now, you'll burn out in May .

I think Liebs is looking to plug 52 week IM plan in to his dashboard. You do have to apreciate the enthusiasm though.
Seriously Liebs - enjoy some downtime and then focus on Kona, IMLP 2012 is a long way off.
I'm in as well for my 3rd IM - first time at Lake Placid and I can't believe I got in through general entry. Especially, since I was out riding RAGBRAI in Iowa on July 25 with no AT&T signal - I thought for sure I was going to be resigned to a charity slot and then while sitting in a beer tent I got a text through from a good friend at 3pm saying general entry still open! I called her immediately and she got me and 2 friends in. I am excited and have 5 friends also planning on doing it and I'm hoping to convince some to join EN as well!
