PT losing signal intermittently

Hi all,

At IMLP, my LYC would lose the signal from the PT for several seconds.  It did this throughout the ride, which I attributed to the hub batteries being on their way out.  I replaced the hub batteries the other day and yet the signal continues to drop from the LYC.  I think the problem now is that I moved the LYC from the stem to the aerobars, thus causing it to be a little to far away.  The total distance from hub to LYC is 45" (hub to placement on aerobars).  When I moved the LYC from the stem, it increased the distance a scant 6".

The PT is a wireless SL, which has not been upgraded to Ant+.  Would upgrading the hub solve this problem?

Thanks, Keith

  • I may be mistaken but believe the advantage of upgrading your hub is that it allows you to use many of the fancy Ant+ head units.
  • I did the upgrade to ANT+ and I don't believe it impacts the range, just the frequency/programming.

Have you tried resetting the LYC and Hub? The manual is online at Cyclops website if needed.
