One year to IMC 2012

I just registered!!!  I know I won't be training for IMC for a year, but I'll probably be looking forward to it for the whole year.  I've never done an "officaial" ironman before.  My other races have been independent IM distance races that you could sign up a couple of months before - now I know how you all feel,

    Now, for the hard part ... do you have lodging yet? Penticton is not a big town, and the available rooms in town fill up immediately. I'm counting on a BnB.

    amazing, this year you can actually register online! I remember trying a few times and getting shut out.

    It's been ten years since I raced there, so I no longer have the inside scoop. There are a bunch of motels along the finish line which are choice spots, but they are often reserved by those who go year after year. I've just been using 21st century sources like airbnb.com. But anything in the town is OK - it';s only three miles from Lake Skaha to Lake Penticton (where the swim and transition are), and that's about the length of the town.
