Thanks for starting this, Scott. You beat me by a couple of hours. For those arriving via Sky West/United Express, note the following disturbing news from this article in the Aspen Times:

"Overcast skies could interrupt travel into the Aspen-Pitkin County Airport starting Friday [9-9-11]. The localizer at the airport, which guides pilots making an instrument approach, was taken off line Thursday night as part of ongoing work to extend the runway. For the estimated 45 days that the equipment is down, United Express flights operated by SkyWest will not be able to land in Aspen when cloud cover drops below 6,000 feet or visibility drops below six miles...Partly cloudy skies, as Aspen saw Thursday, won't be an issue... But unbroken cloud cover below 6,000 feet, preventing a visual approach, could mean diverted flights or ground transportation from Denver for Aspen-bound travelers..."

Unless you hear otherwise from me, or you tell me differently, I or my son will plan on picking you up. The Aspen Airport is VERY small, so we can actually park RIGHT OUTSIDE the door of hte airport and wait for you (look left as you exit) in our white Subaru Forester.

no need to rent, they will shove you in a van, if you are lucky, you can get your baggage (and bike) within two days

Jan and I are driving up after work Friday. We'll probably get there around 10pm. We are planning to leave Monday afternoon after the workout.

I'll be driving up Thursday night after work (guessing I won't arrive until about 9pm) and will have to leave on Sunday after training.

Let me know if anyone needs a ride to/from Denver at those times.

I'm arriving on Wednesday, I hope that is ok. Frontier Airlines flight F9 983 @ 1:05 PM.

I think I would like to plan on doing a long run on Wednesday after I get there. Is there decent running from your place?
