Week 2 - Run

For those that are doing their run wko, post your result and how it went here. This will be an interesting wko as we start working in our new zones from last week's test!  Hope everyone is still enjoying this great fall weather!

  • Got in my 2 X 1.5mi runs @Z4 in after a 1.6mi warmup. For the first one I made my time goal (<7.53/mi) but at a Z3 HR. For the next one, I pushed it a bit more and hit my Z5 HR zone. So, I need to calibrate my efforts a bit more to get in the Z4 HR and time.</p>

    My prescription sport glasses are being updated and I can only check with my regular glasses after each repeat. So, it's all about perceived effort for now!

    How is everyone else doing?

  • week behind secondary to Kona trip but did my run test this morning. Work to be done definitely but could have been worse.

  • Since for me this was the same workout as Wednesday, it made for a pretty good comparison.



    Since it was daylight, I could wear my prescription sunglasses and acutally send my HR and pace. For the first one I improved by about 25"/mi at the same upper Z3 HR and the second about 20"/mi faster, but at a low end of the Z5 HR zone. So, although I still need to calibrate my efforts a bit more to get in the Z4 HR and time, I am getting faster! image
