Are the new plans labelled as 2011 or 2012?

I saw the note that the new plans are loaded and that if we already has an OS plan loaded, it was automatically updated. I had the 2011 Nov OS loaded and I'm still seeing all the 2011 plans. Was the existing 2011 OS plan updated, or should I be seeing a 2012 OS plan?

  • I know the plans have been uploaded and automagically swapped out in your accounts. I'll look into this naming thing above. Thanks.
  • The plans are totally new, I can confirm that...Daniel has been alerted to the naming issue. Thanks for your patience folks!
  • No worries! I was getting ready to load all the workouts into Garmin Training Center and just wanted confirmation that I was good to go before I spent time loading the wrong workouts image
  • 2012 now added via the names...go for it! IF you have a process for loading those workouts that others can benefit from, please let me know...
  • No secret sauce, unfortunately. I just manually retype the workouts into Garmin TC and then I drag and drop the appropriate workout onto the appropriate day in the scheduling tool. Takes a bit of work on the front end but it pays off by having your entire program scheduled.
  • In all the years of using GTC, I have never used the 'workout' feature. Sounds interesting.

Care to post up an example of a typical bike and run session? Do you enter WU & CD or just the MS? Is your Garmin set to beep &/or vibrate? (I'm on vibratte only since getting the 310xt).

I'd love to see how you go about it, and it would help me figure out what I need to do to get going.

    Thanks
  • Sure thing, here's a typical example, which happens to be this Thursday's bike session. I set the 310xt to beep and vibrate and it pretty much takes all the thinking out. The 310 vibrates when I'm going either too fast or too slow, and vibrates again when it's time to switch sets.

  • @ Jason - thanks, I will give it a try this week..... but my first need is to get that #@!$$ FTP test done - TONIGHT!
