Run_Second?

The new plans have a "Run_Second" instead of "Run_Brick". I didn't see this explained, but I may have missed it. Is this a choice of either doing a brick run or a longer non-brick run? Is there a recommendation to which one we *should* do?

  • I think I noticed a note about how to modify the run, if it is done as a brick (usually shorter).

I'd do them as you feel, or as your schedule allows.

If I can, I like to do the brick, but through most of the OS, I usually do them separately, because I llive in the frozen north. The thought of going from pain cave to wrestling on winter running gear makes the treadmill at lunch look very desirable.

  •  I think the idea is that we eliminate brick workouts (see the latest blog post), and do the runs separately for the sake of maintaining good quality. However, brick runs can still be done for the purposes of time efficiency.

    Bingo.

  • Yep, ideally separate. If they must be together, then you'll need to shorten the duration per that workout's notes!
