IMAZ 2012 via online / Active Registration

Anything I should know about going this route?  Any recollections of how long registration was open last time around?   

I won't be able to make it to AZ in order to register in person.

    I signed up online in 2009 for the 2010 race and it sold out in < 25 minutes.  Just make sure you have a good internet connection and are standing by when it opens up.  Good luck.

    My two biggest suggestions for popular online race registration:
    1) already have an active.com account created. That way all you have to do is input your email and password to populate the fields.
    2) be online 5 minutes before the posted open time, and keep hitting refresh on the registration page. They generally open up a minute or two early, but up to 5 minutes early in my experience.

    Those two things alone got me into IMFL and IMAZ previously, without issue.

    Florida was very quick this year but not so much the last couple times I've registered 07/09 come to mind. I was at work got a run missed registration by about 15 minutes by the time I got through everything it was closed about 12:20. That has never happened before.

    Since I just did it today....got into FL....

    Make sure you have your USAT number and med insurance carrier and number handy too. Not to mention the credit card. image

    Agree with Scott and Linda's posts. I just got into Florida. I was hitting refresh on my browser every 15 seconds from about T-5 minutes up until registration opened. (It opened at exactly 1PM EST as they said it would.) Like others said, I already had an Active account. Have USAT and credit card ready. Just enter the fields with the red asterisk next to them. Skip the others. I usually answered yes or no to the silly questions for quick responses. Insurance Carrier and Policy number are NOT required fields, I skipped'em entirely. All in all, I started registration at exactly 1PM from home using a cable internet connection and was registered by 1:05PM.
