OS Bike Question
I have my trainer set up and have done several workouts on it. However, I obviously prefer to ride the roads. I live in West Texas where honestly the best time to ride because of wind and oppressive heat is during the fall. I have been hitting the roads and hitting all my numbers (FTP was done on road). My main goal as a newbie is getting better, but if road/trainer are equivical I know which one I am choosing. Is the OS trainer specific, or if weather allows and one can find a stretch of country road to get steady efforts can the workouts be done outside? Any input appreciated.

Chris,
We want you to ride outside as much/often as you are able to. You can do your best to duplicate the intervals on the trainer on the road. If the terrain doesn't allow it, then add up the total amount of Z4 or Z3 time scheduled in the workout, then get that much time while out on the road, however the terrain and route allows you to get that in.
