Zipp 808 Disc Cover Help Needed

I picked up a disk cover for my Zipp 808 Firecrest carbon clinchers as part of the EN Group buy.  I used it for RR#1 but not RR#2 and I'm wondering if it's worth it for IMAZ.  FIrst, the installed cover isn't that smooth (my guess is becuase the cover was designed for standard 808s and I have Firecrests)  What I mean by that is the non-drive side is smooth, but the drive side is a bit 'waffled' so the cover is a bit wavy.  I'm wondering if this impacts the effectiveness of the cover.  Should I just keep it simple for IMAZ and keep it off, going with the already aero firecrests?

  • I have the same setup. Just tape the drive side to the spokes with some packing or duct tape before putting the nds on and it will be nice and flat.
