Visibility - Drafting during Swim

I'm a first timer for AZ and have read how tough it is to see underwater in TTL. Any veterans tell me if the water visibility is so bad that it makes it difficult to see the swimmer in front of you?

I can tell you from experience that you will not know most of the time that you are swimming on top of someone until your hand comes down into the water and lands on someone's shoulder. Sometimes you might see some bubbles. You usually can't tell who is around you unless you see them when sighting. One of the reasons why the practice swim on Saturday is so important.
