The Turkey Week OS Hack
There are two distinct flavors to how you can handle your Turkey Week running dreams. First is if you want to crush the competition like you plan on dominating that pumpkin pie…second is if this is a fun run that you want to fit into your week. I know some of you have travel considerations as well, so follow the one that works for you!
Crush It Version
Since you want to dominate your Turkey Trot, or should I say Turkey MASSACRE, then you should take monday off, do the FTP bike on Tuesday AM, drop that run and do the Wednesday run on Tuesday afternoon. Take Wednesday off or do an easy jog and then crush your Turkey Trot event. If possible, I would then do Thursday's ride on Friday, Sunday's run on Saturday and Satruday's ride on Sunday. Monday off.
Get A Run In Version
If you are just looking to get in a run, then I suggest you use that run in place of your regularly scheduled Wednesday run, and do Tuesday FTP bike and run, Wednesday do the Thursday ride (ouch!), Turkey Day, then Friday off and Back as planned.
Travel Issues
If you are on the road from Tuesday until Sunday, like many are on these days, I would plan on trying to get your bikes in before you go (as in Monday = Tuesday Ride, Tuesday = Thursday ride, Wed = Scheduled Run, Thursday OFF or easy post turkey jog or Turkey Run, Friday off if you didn't take Thursday off, otherwise easy run, then Saturday = Sunday session. Sunday, if you return in time you can try to get the "Work" from the Saturday bike done…but that's up to you…if not no worries!

Thanks!
I was thinking about doing the little 5K here but didn't want to deal with switching everything around cause the race is on a THURSDAY! Thanks for this! You're a mind reader.

How about the Shandon Turkey Trot 8K on 11/19 and Sleigh Bell 5K on 11/22 (night race)? OOh yeah!
How to crush the 5k on Thurs, then smoke the half mary on Sunday? A yearly challenge for me.
BTW the Space Coast 1/2 and full marathons are great races!
Great info, thanks! We're thinking of doing the Winter Wonderland of Lights 6 miler in Portland on Saturday night.
