Data Tool

I am new to this so be patient, heck I am not sure if I am even posting in the proper forum.

As I was running through a bunch of information on here I noticed that in order to get your FTP or Normal power after you do your benchmark test it tells you to go into WKO+ to get your Normal power based on your results.

What if you dont have WKO+ is that mandatory or is there another way of doing this?

I do realize my avg power is going to be different than my normal power. I used the free version of WKO+ before but didnt know if there was another way of calculating this without spending the extra money for that?

Thanks,

Randy

  • There is a free software called Golden Cheetah that you might use to do it. I've limited experience with it. I would suggest asking Santa for WKO though as its the haus standard. Others more knowledgeable of GC might chime in

  •  If you're using a PowerTap/joule, the power agent software which comes with it will give you your NP. I'm not familiar with using a Garmin or other head unit.

  • A lot of people use a lot of different software, generally everybody speaks in terms of WKO metrics though. Last I knew Rich could get you small discount on it. It is just one of those the cost of doing business things. Your name sounds familiar did you post some questions to the DSM TRI newsgroup a while back?
