Forum vs. group

Can anyone explain to me why we have the forums and groups?

I find the group incredibly hard to read, ie. EXTREMELY TINY FONT. Also there is a weirdness to following them. It is not intuitive to me. You can comment on someone's comment but it falls below their comment, not in an easy to read progression of points.

So what is the reason for both?

  • MC - The groups functionality is very important from an administrative standpoint (and more so in the future) as we can organize and communicate with select folks instead of the whole team. Groups are also reflected on your profile page, whereas no one can tell you love the Power+Pace forum from there. I agree the main page of the groups is odd...I consider that to be like twitter and is a place I just post cheering messages, etc. The real content goes into discussions, which is the same platform as the forums.
