2012 IM plans...they exist?

Are there (I thought there were) new editions of the IM plans for 2012?  I was going to upload the 2012 version to get some calendaring done ahead of time since I will start my prep for TX in mid-January...just want to get the long runs and rides in the calendar, and I am planning my Big Bike Week and Big Tri Week as well.

Thanks

  • Rich had posted something on the dashboard about this but I don't recall the dates. Supposed to be ready by the time 2012 IM'ers load their plans. Anyone else recall exact dates?

  • This is the latest update I've seen...

2012 HIM and IM in the NEW training plan platform + data tool: early 2012, in time for people to get their long course training on for super early IM's and HIM's next yaer.
  • Thx, I couldn't remember where I saw that.

  • Yes, these are in the works for January...thanks for your patience!!!!
  • Thx P. Just post when they are ready!

  • Thanks Jeff and everyone else!
  • @Patrick, so you're saying the 2012 plans won't be available until 2012? Shut up!
  • @Tucker Yeah, seems like false advertising right?

  • I think they are available, just not to us yet in our training plan page.

    But yeah...
  • So, I am starting my 20 week plan for IM Texas on Monday. I guess I should just fire up the 2011 version and run with that until the 2012 versions are available?

Any big changes I should be aware of or make modifications for on my end until the 2012 plans are uploaded/released inside the Haus?

(Yes, I know the OS could very well carry me up to the 12 week mark, but, I want to start working on building up z3-z4 time (especially on the run) and some big training weeks (I have 3 planned) that I didn't put into the mix last year, and I am ready to start getting my swimming going as I sluffed that off a lot last time. Let's just say I am anxious to redeem my CdA performance from last year.)
  • Stephen - I'm guessing they will automagically change over to the 2012 plans when R&P and EN tech populate the plans with new data (like the OS plans did).
  • @thanks all.

@ stephen, yes, load up the 2011 plan and we'll switch them over when they are complete!!

    Stephen,

Have you been doing the OS plan? If yes, you don't need to do 20wks of the IM plan. I don't have any EN athletes doing all 20wks of the IM plans because, if you've been doing the OS, you are much more fit than week 1 of the IM plan assumes you to be. Bottomline is that 95% of the time I don't put people into the IM plan until about 12wks out.

  • Update:

This is a very detailed, meticulous process that we want to take our time with a get 99.99% right the first time. We're still working and appreciate your patience. Thanks!

  • Thanks coach - been minding your previous advice for the time being.

    Thanks!
