General discussions?

When I'm perusing the forums I've recently run into several threads that are in the "General Discussion" category. When I click on tham, I get bumped out into a page that tells me to join a group. Alas, there is no General Discussion Group.  

 

What gives?

Bill - I've had the same experience. I think that when a group is created, the group is tied to the General Discussion forum which doesn't appear in the forum tab. So when you click on a topic in the General Discussion forum, it throws you out if you aren't a member of the particular group that is discussing. It's slightly annoying. I wish it would just identify the group instead.

I had sent this to the gods to get it fixed, but nothing yet. I'll bump it up to see if we can get a response...

There is also this thread out to the OS groups to add "OS XXX" to the beginning of their threads.

This has been updated - the thread should mention GROUP Discussion and have the group name in them when looking at the 'Not Read' view. New groups that are created will now have this done automatically as well.
