Modification to OS plan for marathon training?
Hi.. I thought I would post my question in the discussions as well to see what people are doing for their training for Boston.
I'm with the Nov OS group and we are just heading into V02. I have been switching out my OS runs on Tuesday, Wednesday and Sundays with the runs prescribed in the intermediate marathon hack - keeping everything else the same. Sometimes I omit the brick on Saturdays depending on my energy. I'm having difficulty doing the z4 repeats on Sunday because of tired legs.
I'm planning to do a hypothermic half marathon February 28 as a pre race. That's the only race we have up in Winterpeg (aka Winnipeg, MB Canada) before Boston.
I just want to run a strong Boston at a pace that I can recover from relatively quickly.
I'm just wondering what others are doing and looking for a way to juggle the workouts to maximize my time and effort.
