Data tool paces Versus VDot Paces. Clarification
I'm noticing that my paces are different in the Data tool versus the VDot Calculator. Some clarification needed.
VDot of 44 as seen in the VDot Calculator
Long Run Pace (LRP) - 9:26
Marathon Pace (MP) - 8:06
Half Marathon Pace (HMP) - 7:48
Threshold Pace (TP) - 7:36
Interval Pace (IP) - 7:00
VDot of 44 as seen in the Data Tool
Z1/EP: | 9:37 |
|
Z2/MP: | 8:15 |
|
Z3/HMP: | 7:57 |
|
Z4/TP: | 7:44 |
|
Z5/IP: | 7:18 |
I'm currently using the harder paces from the VDot calculator and this is what is showing up in my plan via the new integrated VDOT paces and training plan tool.
Are the paces in the Data tool special EN paces for racing while the VDOT calculator is directly from Jack Daniels formula? I used the Data tool paces last year for my races to include IMLP.
thanks

We are working on fixing this.
This is great thx RnP.
I inputted my 5K time and vDOT into the new run calculator, and I have my training paces, but the paces don't show up in my plan. I know this is only a minor inconvenience, because I can write them down, but it would be nice to be able to see them, so I don't have to remember them. My FTP was inputted and shows up in the plan, so I'm wondering if there is a setting that I need to enable. When I looked at the settings, the box for "usepacein plans" is checked. Any ideas?
Thanks.
Ditto. Last week, my pace was there in my workouts (both on the Dashboard and "My Training Plan"). This week, not there. I also notice that the EN menu structure has changed, so the web site got a re-vamping at some level. Maybe this was lost in the process? Worth a click on the Support button there to the left to alert the guys in charge?
