Nice run Jon...you should retest when it fits your schedule. I'm not a football fan so here I am posting. Got to bed late last night after Monster Jam...had this urge to move to Alabama, buy a single wide trailer home, and a huge truck! Anyway, I slept 10 hours which pushed the days training schedule back.
AM - Swim 2900 yards. Total for the week = 16,000 yards (same as last week) PM - Run 5.29 miles. Total for the week = 40.61 (compared to 40.06 last week) PM - Bike 30 miles. Total for the week = 118 miles (compared to 125 last week)
Two pretty solid weeks of training. I'll be lowering my volume this coming week due to the Rock n Roll 1/2M next Sunday. I need a sub 1hr 40 min time to get an "A" starting spot for the 2013 Ascent on Pikes Peak. I hope to be under 1:35 but my running is much more erratic as I've gotten older.
This team is really pushing their limits. I proud to be a part of it, I really learned so much important things here, anyway....
Reporting my week:
Testing I did last weekend, on Bike and Run, changed my schedule for Week 14
Tue: Brick Run on TM, was muscular difficult to maintain the pace
Wed: FTP Run on TM, had mentally difficulties to get through all intervals, had to make deals with myself
Sat: no runs (i never do this one), but ordered my EN gear (entering AG40 end of this month
Sun: FTP Run outside, WOW .... mentally much more easy to run those intervals, did them all too hot, and added additional 1000m at the end. Paid in the evening for it, my hips were hurting, so i had to strech my legs the entire evening, and my wife *eyellrolling*.
Week 15 shall come ...wait only 5 weeks left, time is flying...
Just realized I ran the intervals at V02 pace when the workout was Z4…..Huge difference…..no wonder I struggled!! 8.35 miles total though there was .35 miles not recorded (probably due to the delirium I was suffering from the prior 1,200M interval at V02 pace..) because I forgot to start the timer on one of the intervals. Was on my feet all day yesterday prepping and hosting a Super Bowl Party. Had a few drinks along the way as well which I am sure did not help this morning.
