Prayers welcome!

Many of us have been through tough times over the years.  The team has always been a great source of support for me, so I thought I'd share a prayer request.  A good friend (who also works for me) has a daughter, Addison, who has had a tough 3 years in this world.  She was born with severe hydrocephalous and seizure disorders.  She's the cutest little thing in the world,.  Many of you know what it's like to be on Mette's (my youngest...now 8) prayer list...heck some of you have been on it for quite some time (Keith, Trent, Al).  Well Addison has been on it pretty much since birth.  Today she got another trip to the ER because they couldn't control a seizure...then she stopped breathing and they couldn't get her breathing on her own.  They intubated her earlier today, and things are really tough.  Anyway...here's a picture.  Please say a prayer and count your own blessings!

  • She's impossible to resist. Each breath of prayer can build a wind beneath her wings.
  • Done, please keep us posted

  • Done--I hope all goes as well as possible.
  • Prayed for Addison and her family. Please keep us posted.
  • Done. On the list for prayers and good vibes.
  • as a father of a 3 year old daughter my heart breaks for little Addison having to deal with so many health issues. will be keeping her in my thoughts.
  • Thanks so much for all the positive energy. Sorry I haven't updated. Things are still not going so well, but the worst is passed. Addison aspirated during the seizure, so she's being treated for pneumonia. As a result, she's still intubated. They did an MRI that didn't show any brain issues, so that is good. Theyre worried that she wasn't waking up once she was off the sedatives for the seizure. She finally opened her eyes and moved around some yesterday which was a huge relief for everyone. I visited her mom in the hospital last night and she is hopeful that today Addison will come around. She's getting great care from the docs that have treated her for her whole life, so she in good hands, and about all they can do is wait and see. Thanks again for the prayers!
  • All...more good news today, but still a long way to go. Probably easier to just read for yourself from her Caring Bridge site, so here's a link:

Such a sweet little girl to have so many struggles. Hopefully we'll get to see her this weekend.
  • Addison and her family will be in my prayers Bill.
  • Got to see Addison tonight. She's still intubated, but she's breathing mostly on her own. Was awake a little bit today, but still not out of the woods. Such a tough, tough little girl! Took our 2 older ones along to see her...definitely makes you count your blessings.
  • Great to hear she's a little better...Sounds like her family should also be thankful to you and your support - Well Done Bill...!
  • Thanks for leading this, Bill, and for sharing with all of us. She's a fixture on our list!
  • Missed this post earlier.  It's great to hear she is doing better.  All my best to Addison and her family.

  • Well, the good news is Addison went home today. I haven't talked to her mom to hear what's going on, but good news that she's out of the hospital. She's got full-time nursing care regularly, so it's a bit easier to send her home even if she may not be exactly where they would like. I'm sure I'll hear more, but for now, we can say prayers were answered. Thanks everyone!
  • That's great news Bill. I hope she continues to progress well.
