Powermeter going to sleep

I recently replaced batteries in both my compter and my hub (thanks to a you tube video).  Now I'll be riding and my computer goes to sleep.  It's recognizing the signal from the hub but doesn't stay on.  Anyone else ever had this issue???  Any thoughts???

    Sheryl: I'm assuming this is a PowerTap. Which computer? Joule? LYC? Garmin? I don't have a PowerTap, but I do have a Joule. As a default setting, if the Joule is not reading speed, it will eventually time out even if it's reading power, cadence and HR. Is your computer reading speed data?
