Looking at a 2008 Slice

I just got word a friend of mine is parting with his Slice circa 2008. It's got the old Shimano Crank set (175mm) (53-39). I'm doing IMWI for the first time and wondering how much the change to a compact will set me back and what folks here might recommend before I put in an offer.

Specs I know of so far:

Size 58cm

Full Carbon 

Areo design frame-set

Aero tear drop seat-post

Aero cutout down-tube for rear wheel aero dynamics.



Shimano 105 - Front derailleur, Rear derailleur, brakes

Shimano Dura Ace - TT shifters

Shimano  Crank set (175mm) (53-39)



Seat            - Fi'zi:k seat

Stem           - Vision

Aero bars    - Profile design T2+

Wheelset     - Mavic Askium

Any and all guidance mucho appreciated!!

bargain hunters often can switch out to a compact for under $200. Retail is typically close to $400.

There was a SRAM Force compact on Bonktown yesterday for (I think) something like $179.

Thank you gentlemen, my friend is asking $1250.00, so I'll take a look at eBay and the SRAM. I could get both for less than he's asking plus shipping- not to mention resale parts. Wow!
