Week 12 of 20- AKA fun with testing
So folks- How goes it?
Anyone test? I mean besides me?
I actually am not a fan of testing. I have been swagging my FTP all this time.
So today I tested. What did I get for my effort? The same FTP I have been using based on training and WKO+.
Proof positive that after all these years, I know how to read the charts.

I failed at the bike test. Weather kept me on the trainer. I can chalk it up to fighting a cold. I started out conservatively at 260NP for first 20 (previous FTP was 253) then felt faint and sick. I stopped while ahead. It wasn't the kind of hardwork pukey feeling. Plus a bug is going around my house. I am determined to run the 5K outsied tomorrow. My wife is going to pace/push me on her bike for motivation.
I figgured I racked up only 50 Tss points instead of 100. I'll try to slowly catch those points over the next week, but I'm truly not that worries about them.
I'm only worried about hitting good propper test just before the final RR.
This is my first IM build with EN and the weeks like this are a surprise. I cannont call them rest weeks but it's definatly a welcomed break up.
Good luck with testing!
Today got outside in the 20-25 mph wind for 3.75 hours and hit 77 miles with an IF of .83. Felt really good except I really got sick of the wind.
Last outdoor FTP was 268 and I'm sitting on the trainer at 250. Felt good to let loose today.
Last vDOT test landed me at 50.
Really think I will stick with those numbers for St. George.
And now we are back into the heart of the work.
